Got it working now – the sidebar here is replaced with ‘widget’s. Getting the tag cloud back was a bit of work. You need a widget for this as well. I ended up using

The .js files come from a separate project script.aculo.us – it’s a popular javascript library that makes it easy to add drag-and-drop and visual effects to an application.

You can find it at the scriptaculous download page : http://script.aculo.us/downloads

after you extract the archive, you have to place it in the widgets directory.
Here’s what I did:

wget http://script.aculo.us/dist/scriptaculous-js-1.7.0.tar.bz2
bunzip2 scriptaculous-js-1.7.0.tar.bz2
tar -xvf scriptaculous-js-1.7.0.tar
mv scriptaculous-js-1.7.0 widgets/scriptaculous

hope that helps. Now I’ll see about getting it running in this site….

Hi Brooks,

By ‘look attractive’ I meant – haven’t installed them yet, and would like to try . So I haven’t installed sidebar widgets yet.

I’ve just (a couple of minutes ago) upgraded this one to WP latest – that was easy. I’ll try the sidebar widgets right now, and see how that goes.

I’m a WP newbie with a server installation: WP 2.1.1 (latest).

Am trying to get Sidebar Widgets going. I went to:

http://automattic.com/code/widgets/use/

and downloaded the latest widgets.zip but its missing all the *.js files, which are needed.

Would appreciate any help.
